 Navy Working Uniform (NWU)

For the Navy soldiers, the Americans declined a camouflage from the MARPAT. If the pixelated shapes are kept, the green and brown tones are replaced by others more reminiscent of the sea: blue and gray.

MARPAT

It was in 2004 that the MARPAT camouflage appeared in the United States Army . It is characteristic of the Marine Corps. Small rectangular pixels of different colors make this type of camouflage theoretically more effective than more standard patterns.

MARPAT

There are 4 variants that have existed:

  • MARPAT Woodland  : it is suitable in environments with dense vegetation, such as the forest or the jungle.
  • MARPAT Desert  : the range of colors makes it possible not to be seen in dry and arid landscapes.
  • MARPAT Winter  : With shades of blue and gray, this camouflage is useful in snowy environments.
  • MARPAT Urban  : Unused, there is a mixture of large irregular blocks of white, black and gray pixels.

THE NAVY WORKING UNIFORM (NWU)

The Navy Working Uniform (NWU) camouflage is a pixelated digital print pattern inspired by the MARPAT pattern . This one is blue in color, which reflects the Navy's heritage as well as its connection to maritime operations.

The pixelated pattern will hide wear and stains , which is particularly useful in missions where discretion is required. If it is such colors, it is made to match the paint shades that are most commonly used on ships.

This is also useful on missions with long deployments where the likelihood of coming into contact with newly painted surfaces is higher.
