Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has hailed his star Portuguese striker, Cristiano Ronaldo, as the best scorer alive and also compared the winning goal to one of basketball's greatest ever players, Micheal Jordan.

Cristiano Ronaldo returned once again, to salvage a lifesaving act for Manchester United as he continued his hot streak in front of goal, scoring in the dying minutes of the game against Atalanta. The Portuguese superstar scored for the fourth successive Champions League game to help United come from behind and finish with a 2-2 draw at Bergamo.

Solskjaer has Ronaldo to thank for saving his job time and time again

Ronaldo brought United level in the first half, finishing from close range with a pass from Bruno Fernandes, and scored the second goal in the 91st minute of the game with the score 2-1 to earn his side a point well-deserved.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was quick to show his admiration for Ronaldo, who has saved his job time and time again this season, in the post-match press conference.

"He's amazing and if there's anyone you want the ball to fall on at the last minute, it's him," Solskjaer said. "He's the best goalscorer in the world and it's hard for me to say that because he just passed me with those two goals, he now has one goal more for Manchester United than me.

“That last goal, it has to be a Michael Jordan moment when he wins championships in overtime. "If you want the ball to fall on someone at the last minute, Cristiano is the one. He did it so many times for us and I agree that he scores more goals than me.

However, it's time for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to focus more on his tactics as his side continue to show weaknesses all over the pitch.
